Case Details:On July 1, 1979, in Grottoes, Augusta County, Virginia, partial skeletal remains were found in an abandoned manganese mine while law enforcement was searching for missing vehicles. The decedent is an adult white male about 35 - 55 years old. The estimated time of death is about twenty years prior to being found.
