Warren William "Thomas" Fultz, 32, a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation living in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, was reported missing after he was last seen leaving his home on September 29, 2021, without stating a destination or taking personal belongings. Fultz worked in construction and as a cook, and was connected to his community through First Baptist Church in Okmulgee; he was the father of three children. Fultz is described as a Native American man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes; his date of birth is December 5, 1988.
On October 3, 2021, the truck Fultz had last been seen driving was found abandoned in Haskell, Oklahoma, roughly 20 miles northeast of Okmulgee. On October 16, 2021, human remains were discovered in a wooded area near Boynton, Oklahoma, in Muskogee County. The remains were positively identified as Fultz on October 20, 2021. A memorial service was held November 6, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Okmulgee.
The case is being investigated as a homicide by the FBI's Oklahoma City Field Office in partnership with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Office of Justice Services Missing and Murdered Unit, which lists the case as open and has assigned it to agent Chad Whiteaker; the case has also involved Muscogee (Creek) Nation tribal law enforcement.
Local news reporting has documented that Fultz's sister has publicly questioned whether Christopher Harris — a man previously known to the Fultz family who had recently been released from federal prison at the time Fultz disappeared and who was later arrested on unrelated charges — may have been the last person with Fultz before his death; Harris has never been named an official person of interest and has not been charged in connection with Fultz's death.
As of July 2025, nearly four years after Fultz's disappearance, the FBI has stated it has no person of interest and has renewed its public appeal for information.
