Case Details:Jose Fernando Bustos-Diaz is a convicted murderer and prison escapee who has been on the run since April 6, 2010, when he escaped from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Dolph Briscoe Unit in Frio County by cutting through a fence. Serving a 35-year sentence for a brutal murder in Harris County, Texas, Bustos-Diaz is also suspected in a second homicide. After fleeing custody, he is believed to have crossed into Mexico, where he remains at large with potential assistance from family and friends on both sides of the border. Described as armed and dangerous, Bustos-Diaz continues to evade capture despite relentless pursuit by the U.S. Marshals Service and Texas law enforcement, who have offered up to $25,000 for information leading to his arrest.
