NCOUC - Group 3

Missing or Unidentified Person

Jonathan Hoang, 21, was last seen by his father inside their home in Arlington, Washington, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 30, 2025, when he said goodnight and asked to sleep in the downstairs guest room. His mother found him missing when she went to wake him the next morning, March 31, at approximately 6:38 a.m.; a lower-level door was found unlocked.

Hoang has autism and, according to his family, has the developmental capabilities of an 8-to-10-year-old; he is verbal and responds to his name but is not able to navigate independently or relay his own address or phone number. Left behind were his phone, wallet, ID, money, and all of his jackets; missing from the home were his iPad, his headphones, a pair of his mother's black slip-on gardening shoes, khaki pants, and a green polo shirt which he is believed to have been wearing when he left. He is described as an Asian and white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, a large mole on his right inner forearm, and two moles on the left side of his face.

On June 23, 2025, home security cameras at three residences in the South Juanita neighborhood of Kirkland, Washington, recorded footage, all within the same window of approximately 11 p.m. to midnight, of an individual family members, teachers, and extended family identified as Hoang; in the footage he appeared lost and disoriented but clean and groomed. This remains the only validated sighting since his disappearance.

An extensive multi-day search and rescue operation, including K-9 units, drones, a helicopter, and more than 150 volunteers from five county SAR teams, was conducted in the area around the family home in the first two weeks after his disappearance and found no indication that Hoang left the immediate area on foot. No suspect or person of interest has been publicly named, and investigators have stated they have found no evidence of foul play. His case is classified as an Endangered Missing Person.
