Trevor George Angell, 28, a long-haul truck driver for Cool-X Transport of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, disappeared on September 22–23, 2000, after stopping at Whiskey Pete's Bar and Casino in Primm, Nevada during a return trip from Los Angeles to Calgary. Angell had left his home in Cold Lake, Alberta on September 20, 2000, picked up a load of beef at a meat-packing plant near Brooks, Alberta, delivered it to Los Angeles, and picked up a return load of bananas; he called his dispatcher and his wife from Primm on September 22 before he stopped responding.
His truck was later found abandoned in the casino's parking lot with the bananas still loaded and his wallet — containing his driver's license and credit cards but no cash — left inside; there were no other signs of him at the scene. A waitress reported serving him oatmeal, paid for with pocket change, at 10:00 a.m. on September 23, and another witness reported seeing him afterward in the parking lot appearing ill, clutching his stomach and disoriented. Someone withdrew his entire paycheck from his bank account in nine transactions between September 22 and 4:00 a.m. on September 23. He is described as a white male, approximately 5'9"–5'11" and 165–170 pounds (sources vary), with brown hair, hazel eyes, a pierced left ear, and possibly a mustache, beard, or goatee.
