Wesley Richard Nebeker, an adult male last known to be living in Lander, Wyoming, is wanted by the Lander Police Department on charges stemming from an investigation that began in late 2011. He is charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of children, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of third-degree sexual assault. Nebeker was last in contact around Nov. 21, 2011. During the investigation, a vehicle linked to Nebeker was located near the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but he was not found with it. Nebeker is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet 6 inches tall and 230 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has been described by investigators as frequently playing video games and as a movie enthusiast.
The case is being investigated by the Lander Police Department. In April 2013, the television program America's Most Wanted profiled Nebeker as a fugitive, stating he may have embedded himself within a tightly knit Mormon community and listing possible locations including Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Alaska, Thailand, and the Canary Islands. Nebeker is also listed with the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) as case #MP27778, reflecting his status as a person whose whereabouts became unknown in connection with the investigation.
