Torres-Ballinas co-owned a residence in the 5600 block of Tahoe Drive, near South Nellis Boulevard and East Vegas Valley Drive, with Erika Pedraza Marin, 30, according to Clark County Assessor records. In the early morning hours of December 12, 2021, Las Vegas police were called to that address at approximately 2:11 a.m. and found Pedraza Marin in a bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and torso; she was pronounced dead at the scene. His whereabouts and the circumstances of his disappearance have been unknown since Pedraza Marin's death, and he has since been entered into the NamUs database as a missing person.
