Missing or Unidentified Person
Misael Torres-Ballinas, 35 at the time he was last seen (now 40), was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 11, 2021. He is described as a White/Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his neck reading "Huntington Beach." Torres-Ballinas co-owned a residence in the 5600 block of Tahoe Drive, near South Nellis Boulevard and East Vegas Valley Drive, with Erika Pedraza Marin, 30, according to Clark County Assessor records. In the early morning hours of December 12, 2021, Las Vegas police were called to that address at approximately 2:11 a.m. and found Pedraza Marin in a bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and torso; she was pronounced dead at the scene. His whereabouts and the circumstances of his disappearance have been unknown since Pedraza Marin's death, and he has since been entered into the NamUs database as a missing person.
The Metropolitan Police Department's homicide log lists an arrest warrant issued in the Pedraza Marin case; the log does not publicly name a suspect. Metro's investigation remained open as of the most recent published reporting reviewed. The Clark County coroner's office confirmed Pedraza Marin's cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds. Torres-Ballinas hasn't been seen since.
