Case Details:On February 3, 2018, patrol officers searching for a robbery suspect in a wooded area behind a residence at 27 Aylwin Road in Portsmouth, Virginia, discovered human skeletal remains. The decedent is estimated to have been a male between 45 and 67 years old, standing approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 6 inches tall, with unknown weight, hair color, and eye color. The postmortem interval was estimated at around six years, placing the likely year of death in 2012. At the scene, investigators recovered clothing including a zipped hooded jacket, a red T-shirt, and elastic band underwear. Personal effects found nearby included a wallet containing an MVP card (61113621319*), an Ollie’s Army card (2504652*), a China Moon magnet card, and multiple plastic sleeves with remnants of writing, one of which included the name “David Meyers.” All of these items were located in close proximity to the remains.
