Case Details:On April 6, 2012, two individuals were found unresponsive with gunshot wounds and were pronounced deceased shortly thereafter. One of the victims remains unidentified. The decedent is a Black male, approximately 42 to 46 years old, with black hair and brown eyes; his face is recognizable, though no postmortem photograph has been released. He stood approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed about 134 pounds. The postmortem interval was estimated at approximately five minutes. The individual had numerous distinctive scars and marks, including a linear scar on the left forehead measuring 4 x 0.4 cm; an irregular scar on the left upper chest measuring 2 x 1 cm; multiple linear scars on the left back ranging from 1 x 0.1 cm to 3 x 0.1 cm; a focally pigmented irregular scar on the ventral left forearm measuring 6 x 6 cm; a linear scar on the lateral right buttock measuring 8 x 1 cm; a scabbed scar on the ventral right thigh measuring 4 x 1 cm; scars on the left lower leg ranging from 1 x 1 cm to 1 x 0.5 cm; a scabbed scar on the left pretibial region measuring 2 x 2 cm; and a scar on the dorsum of the right lower leg measuring 3 x 2 cm. Personal effects recovered included two one-dollar bills and a nickel in the right front pocket, along with a cell phone. The left front pocket contained a MasterCard cash card and a Virginia driver’s license. Clothing at the time of discovery consisted of a blue, white, and red striped Polo shirt, a white thermal shirt, gray pants with a fabric belt, black and red plaid boxer shorts, white socks, and black shoes.
