Missing or Unidentified Person

On September 8, 1998, a deceased infant was discovered in a trash bin at the Fair Oaks Campground near the Williamsburg Pottery Factory in Williamsburg, Virginia by an employee cleaning the women’s restroom. Investigators canvassed everyone at the campground the day the infant was found, combed registrations forms for everybody who stayed there the day before , contacted hospitals from the Peninsula to Richmond and followed-up on all the called in tips which didn't pan out. The Medical Examiner's forensic examination and analysis determined that the infant was male and had been deceased approximately 12 hours prior to being found. The infant measured 1 foot 7 inches to 1 foot 9 inches (19-21 inches), weighed 5 to 6 pounds, and had black hair; however, his specific race and ethnicity is undetermined. The cause of death hasn't been publicly released, but the case is being investigated as a homicide.
