Shannon Nicole McIntyre McClure, a 23-year-old woman from Gillette, Wyoming, was last seen in the early morning hours of June 15, 2013. Her husband and father-in-law told investigators they dropped her off around 3 a.m. at the Walmart Supercenter on Coffeen Avenue in Sheridan, Wyoming, saying she intended to stay overnight with her sister, Jennifer Barnes. Barnes said she was not expecting McClure and had not arranged the visit, calling it an abrupt decision on McClure's part. No one has seen or heard from McClure since. She was last seen wearing a navy blue pullover sweatshirt with "2008" printed in white lettering on the front, dark-colored sweatpants, and white sneakers. She is described as a white female, 5'3"–5'4", approximately 230–240 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, pierced ears, a Caesarean-section scar on her abdomen, and glasses. At the time of her disappearance she was the mother of an infant son and stepmother to three stepdaughters.
The case is being investigated by the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation. Deputies reviewed Walmart surveillance footage and canvassed nearby hotels for evidence of McClure's movements that night but found nothing conclusive. Investigators said McClure had no history of extended, unexplained absences and had spoken with her mother and sister by phone regularly before she went missing. Family and out-of-state contacts were unable to provide investigators with any information. As of the most recent public statement, authorities said there was no indication McClure left for any reason other than her own will, and the disappearance was not being treated as a criminal case; no persons of interest have been publicly named and no arrests have been made.
