Missing or Unidentified Person

On March 7, 2016, skeletal remains of a Black male, estimated to be 33–49 years old and approximately 5’9” to 6’3” in height, were discovered in the rear yard of a residential area within the James River floodplain in Richmond, Virginia. The cause and manner of death remain undetermined. The individual exhibited extensive tooth loss and a congenital absence of the 12th thoracic vertebra, along with a healed right knee fracture that may have resulted in a limp or locked knee and possible partial deafness in the left ear due to healing trauma. He was found wearing size 4E blue plaid "Fruit of the Loom" boxers, a 2XL purple, white, and yellow "Champion" football jersey with “Moss” and “84” on the back and sleeves, a 2XL "Faded Glory" black fleece jacket, a "Thermasoft" blue knitted hat, one sock, one shoelace, size 12 white "New Balance" sneakers, a round-faced watch (possibly silver) with a black leather band, a brown belt, and a quarter.
