Missing or Unidentified Person

Danney "Dan" Ellis Woosley was a 19-year-old white male with a right below-the-knee amputation (BKA) who went missing in 1985. He left his home in Reno, Nevada, sometime during 1984–1985, traveling with a friend on a Yamaha off-road motorcycle toward North Hollywood, California. After an extended period with no contact from Danney, his family reported him missing on August 25, 1985.

Danney stood between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighed approximately 150 to 160 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes. Raised primarily by his father and stepmother (both of whom have since passed away), he also has a living biological mother, a sister, and several half-siblings.

While the exact timeline and route of his journey are unknown, available records indicate that Danney reached California before he disappeared.
