NCOUC - Group 3

Missing or Unidentified Person

Bruce Parker Pike, 47, of Texas, was last seen on August 2, 2006, at the Indian Creek Campground in Yellowstone National Park, Teton County, Wyoming. He was camping in the park at the time. He has never been heard from again, and no trace of him has been found since his disappearance. His vehicle was subsequently found abandoned at the campground and was impounded. He is described as a white male, 5'11", 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, who wears eyeglasses.

The disappearance is investigated jointly by the U.S. National Park Service and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with the Texas Department of Public Safety Missing Persons Clearinghouse assisting given Pike's Texas residency. Little additional detail about the circumstances of his disappearance has been made public, and the case does not appear to have been covered contemporaneously by news media. Pike remains one of a small number of people who have disappeared in Yellowstone and never been found, a group that includes Daniel Campbell (1991) and Stuart Isaac (2010). The case remains open and unsolved. NamUs Case #MP20704; Texas DPS Case #M1306003. Anyone with information is asked to contact Grand Teton National Park at (307) 739-3301, the U.S. National Park Service at (307) 344-2607, or the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation at (307) 777-7181.
