Paul Daniel Pedry, a 43-year-old Casper, Wyoming man, was last seen at approximately 5:00 p.m. on July 7, 2020, walking away from his apartment in the 800 block of South Durbin Street. Earlier that day his parents had taken him to a psychiatric appointment, after which he was returned to his apartment; medical testing that day showed dangerously low thyroid levels. Once home, Pedry called his sister and later spoke briefly by phone with a friend he had attempted to visit; that call is the last confirmed contact with him. He was last seen in the area of Wolcott Street and 12th Street in Casper. Pedry is described as a white male, 6 feet 2 to 3 inches tall, approximately 220 pounds, with reddish/blond hair and blue eyes, and wears dark-framed eyeglasses; he was last seen wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt, silver/gray shorts, and sneakers. He has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and did not have his prescribed medication with him at the time of his disappearance. His debit card was later found in an alley near his apartment and turned in to police; no transactions were made on the card after he went missing.
The case is investigated by the Casper Police Department, and it is also listed in the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation's statewide missing-persons database. Investigators searched the alley where Pedry's debit card was recovered and conducted interviews; police have stated there is no evidence supporting a theory that he was assaulted there. Pedry's family has stated publicly that they believe he is deceased and held a memorial service in 2021, though the case remains open and unresolved as a missing person. As of 2024, the Casper Police Department has continued to publicly seek information on the case. It is entered in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System as NamUs #MP72568.
